Dr. Stefano Caffio
Dr. Stefano Caffio (IUS/07), after obtaining the title of PhD in Labor Law (2006), has collaborated with the ILO at the Geneva office and gained a long working experience in the Labor Inspectorate work.
Since 2020 he has been a Researcher in Labor Law at the University of Bari "Aldo Moro" and holds the teachings of Labor Law, Immigration and Labor Law and Social Security for the degree courses in the legal area activated at the Jonico Department in Mediterranean Legal and Economic Systems.
For years he has been conducting researches on the labor market, with particular reference to active policies aimed at the reintegration of users of social safety nets as well as the targeted placement of disabled people.
At present time he is engaged in a monographic work on the subject of active policies and social inclusion of beneficiaries of public subsidies for the fight against poverty. He has published several articles and contributions on these topics, also in A-level scientific journals and in collective works.

Prof. Daniela Caterino
Full Professor of Commercial Law at the "Aldo Moro" University of Bari.
Chartered accountant, she was a member of the BoD of the in-house company Retegas Bari; she is a member of the Bari Board of the Banking and Financial Arbitrator.
She has written two monographs, edited several collections and published over fifty contributions including essays, book chapters, encyclopedic entries, commentaries and case notes.
She has organized numerous conferences, including international ones.
She chairs the scientific committee of Freebly and is a member of the scientific committee of the DJSGE Annals and of the Law Review of the Arts and Entertainment, as well as of the Editorial staff of the Company Law Review and of the committee of referees of Commercial Law.
Her scientific interests are mainly related to the issues of corporate governance, corporate sustainability, copyright.

Prof. Laura Tafaro
Associate Professor at the University of Bari.
She has more than 20 years didactic experience in University Courses of Private and Civil Law, first as Lecturer, then as Assistant Professor and finally as Associate Professor. She received her PhD in Civil Law in 2003.
In 1997 she was adtmitted in to the Specialization School in Civil Law (for a limited number) at the University of Camerino; in 2001 she won a competition (public selection) for an Assistant Professor position in Private Law, in 2004 she became an Associated Professor.
From 2006 to 2012 she was Member of the Teaching Board of various Civil Law Ph.D. programmes; from 2007 to date she has several Institutional duties and, currently, she is Dean of Degree Course in Science and Technical Nautical Management.
She has a wide experience in University and post-University education, stressing as President, Proposer and Scientific Coordinator of some Advanced Courses and Training Courses (2007-2013).
From 2000 to date, she has collaborated and she was the Scientific Coordinator on various Research Projects.
From 2005 to date she has various papers and lectures presented to various National and International Meetings in her fields, in Law of the Environment and Sustainable Development.
She is author of monographs and essays published in National and International Reviews. She is member of the editorial board and of the Scientific Commitee in several National and International Scientific Reviews.
In november 2018 she obtained the National Scientific Qualification (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) to function as ordinary professor in Italian Universities.

Prof. Lucia Valente
Graduated in Law at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", with Magna cum Laude.
Specialized in Labor and Social Security Trade Union Law at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" with 70/70 cum laude, in 1993 she won a scholarship at the Regional Institute of Legal Studies of Lazio Arturo Carlo Jemolo .
Admitted to the Bar since 1997, she practiced the legal profession until 2006.
She obtained the PhD at the University of Pavia, and in 2000 she won a two-year post-doctoral scholarship at the Faculty of Law of the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
Research fellow since 2003 at the Institute of Private Law, Faculty of Law of the University of Rome "La Sapienza", renewed in 2005, in 2006 she won the competition for Researcher in Labor Law at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", Faculty of Law.
Since 2012 she has been Associate Professor of Labor Law at the Sapienza Faculty of Law.
In 2016 she obtained the national scientific qualification for the first band as full professor of Labor Law.
On leave from 2013 to 2018 for the appointment as Councilor for Labour, Personnel and Equal Opportunities of the Lazio Regional Council, since September 2019 she has been Full Professor of Labor Law in the Department of Social and Economic Sciences of the Faculty of Political Sciences , Sociology, Communication of Wisdom.
She held the position of Trusted Advisor of the Equal Opportunities Committee of the "Sapienza" University of Rome and was Deputy General Secretary of the Italian Association of Labor Law and Social Security (2019-2021).
She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the "Rivista Giuridica del Lavoro", of the Commission for the certification of contracts of the Department of Legal Sciences of Sapienza, and a member of the PhD teaching Board of the University of Siena.
